EffortLESS Wednesday!!!!

Uh...yea...a little known fact about me is that I love to mix-match...not sure if I mentioned this before. But I am a mix-match-on-purpose-kind-of-girl. I really don't know the reason why...BUT I think it may have something to do with my will to do what everyone else isn't, my rebel-ness, my "OH you think I wouldn't" kind of attitude. I want to be different. I AM different. I subscribe to tons of magazines purely for entertainment (to be honest most of the time I don't have the time to read the mags and some of them end up going in the holders for my guest and end up never being read by me). However, my fave mag that I always make time for is .:drum roll pls:. People Style Watch.....Oh, I so love this mag....there are such cute clothes with REAL prices...seriously! Some things I take in but I am usually not big on trend following. I wear what I want when I want. See for yourself. Today's outfit was a mixture of patterns, textures, and colors. I liked it. It was me.

It's extremely funny when I go out shopping with the gals and I may put some outfit together and ask whomever their opinion on it. I usually get a "Yea, that's something you would wear." HA! That's exactly what I wanted to hear. "You know my style, aye?" LOL. I love it!

My daughter...she's wearing...
Hello Kitty Cropped Jacket
Button-down in back shirt
H&M denim legging
Chuck Taylor's in Leopard print (Nordstrom)

I actually have these boyfriend jeans in 2 sizes...I am wearing the smaller pair.

I was so sloppy with the look....i left one corner of the shirt hanging out to achieve this effect.... lol

What I am Wearing...
Tropical Print Sheer Button-Down set in Black
(I love the drawstring detail under the bust area)
Patchwork Boyfriend Denims
Double Breasted Blazer with the cutest detailed button
(sorry no pic posted)
Cheap shoes purchased downtown....
(I must admit I rarely wear cheap shoes...not that I think I am too good for them or anything...but they just feel.....uh...CHEAP. I prefer to shop at discounted stores i.e. Ross, DSW, Marshalls; over buying cheap synthetic man made material shoes....sorry hard working men) LOL
Gold Crown Belt
(seen here on Adam Lambert during his American Idol days)

Some Red Earrings
Beaded Necklace

Accessory-LESS

I just noticed as I were editing my photos that I had on not 1 single accessory. Not even my anklets that I have been faithfully wearing for the past few weeks. I woke up super late this morning and I guess I was in such a rush i didn't even think of going over to my jewelry armoire (that doubles as my tv stand temporarily...hahaha...therefore there are rings and earrings and all my charms at the top that I cannot get to...but when I do get to them I will feel like I have new jewels...ohh la la).

The armoire is a bit of a mess...Pls excuse me for that...LOL

Back to the real reason I am doing this post....AS I WERE SAYING...

So no accessories today...and I threw this outfit on and didn't even think twice about it. Nothing special. However, I love the colors in the shirt. And the green reminded me of my fave green shoes. So I went into my shoe closet and quickly came to a halt. I told myself..."self, you just worked all weekend standing and sitting and breaking down stuff, and your feet will be so upset at you for even stepping into a 4" platform" so I grabbed my patent leather Target ballet flats. By the way...these were shoes purchased for Halloween (I rarely wear them).

Looking at the photos, I don't think the outfit is that plain....but I would whether prefer to wear them with the green platforms. So I took my photos wearings the platforms. And you know what...my feet aren't that mad at me!

What do you guys (I mean gals) ;-) think..green platforms or black flats?

What I am Wearing...

~Butterfly Tunic
~Black Jegging
~Report Signature Strappy Platforms
~Xhilaration Patent Leather Flats

I'm an 80's BABY!!!!

Like Justin Timberlake bringing SEXY back, Fashion is bringing the 80's back! And I am loving it! Isn't it great to go out and purchase the very things we grew up wearing? I used to love my acid washed overall denim dress, metallic, crazy prints and patterns and my ruffled hair scrunchies. Or even my big hair that was really a result of my hair dresser not applying enough heat in the straightening phase. LOL. The hair back in those days...and the makeup! OMG! What about smiley faces? I so loved smiley faces! I had smiley face socks, pencils holders, purses & wallets, shirts, underwear, lol, and  jewelry. I surely must be rambling. LOL. But I just love the 80's. Well it's back and I love what others are doing with it.

Check out this article on what people wore in the 80's. We all know. However, this is pretty fun to read.
The article mentioned jellys. I loved jelly's back then, and my daughter wears them today. It also mentions leg warmers. But I must admit I have been wearing leg warmers for the last 2 years in the winter. I will always adore leg warmers!

For 80's inspiration I always turn to my fave 80's movies...
to name just a few...Do you guys know anymore to add to the list?

One thing I can be positive that won't make it back into my wardrobe today is that awful noisy SHELL SUIT!

Tell me what were you guys fave 80's item and what are you wearing these days that is inspired from the 80's?

Check this link out as well!

To be continued.......(throwback pics of my 80's fashion)

ABSENCE MAKE THE HEART GROW FONDER

Hey Followers!!!!

I am truly sorry for the lack of posting this past week. I am at an conference and have been busy prior to my arrival here. Anyhow, everything has been great and I am enjoying my work outside the office environment! And I really wish I had time to take at least one photo of my outfit yesterday. I had gotten so many compliments, and the Co-founder and head designer even stopped to tell me how much she loved the way I was wearing my skirt as a dress, hehe! I was ecstatic!!! I will be doing a posting tomorrow morning, so stay tuned! Now that I said that I have to stick to my word. LOL. Luv you guys!

EffortLESS Wednesday!!!!

Howdy!!!!

This morning was such a breeze for me...It's nothing more classic, simple and chic than a white button down and some denims. I love my look today. I have two kids to get ready in the morning and I am always running behind, therefore I am always pulling things out my closet that would give me the cutest look in the smallest amount of time. I am definitely not one that has time to try on outfits. I simply visualize and go for the kill....LOL! That's exactly what I did today! Besides, the weather here in L.A. has been really iffy. We had an earthquake today as well...it tickled me so much seeing my coworker Kara run around the office trying to find the safest spot... LOL! She's from Chicago so she's not quite used to them.

I am no photographer but I played around with iPhoto and edited the above picture and it looks sort of....shall I say..... flawless...its definitely hiding all flaws

What I am Wearing...

~ White Ruched Button Down Shirt...gift
~ True Religion Ripped Denims
~ Stripped Belt
~ Matisse Sandals
~ Matisse "Throw it all in Here" Leather Bag
~ Kukuly's Earrings

~ Payless Military Green Cap

The Day After

Geesh! It seems as tho every time I sit down with my laptop and decide to do a post I get writers' block. What's up with that, huh?!?! Why is it? Maybe I am still a bit nervous about writing publicly. Anyone has any suggestions to getting over this umm...shall we call it blog-blockage. Most times I have to continue telling myself "just do it, dive right in and get on with it already!"LOL. So that's exactly where I am.

Yesterday was the 4th of July and I really wish I had some awesome outfit to reveal to you guys. But I don't. Truth is, after looking at the pictures later that evening I thought my look looked like something that belonged in some old men bikers mag. And that I should be on the back of someones hog, introducing him as my "old man." SERIOUSLY!!! At least I could say we had some fun! And I absolutely enjoyed my day. I did get a compliment....but I don't think it was deserved....see for yourself....

what did i tell ya! biker chick gone wrong! we had a great time doing our Karaoke thang tho....

So on to the next day!

Check out my look for today... I call it WALK THE TALK (that's actually the name of the shoes wore here)
