One Piece = Three Ways
Hey Girls!
Yea, another pair of jeans. I know, I know, I am so boring. But I really do love my jeans. Don't all women love jeans? I think I have about 35 pairs of jeans. Is that normal? LOL. Well I work for a clothing company so you know, sometimes you can't help but to shop because its so convenient. I actually slowed down...a whole lot. Home ownership makes you cut back on things that you really don't want too. When I think about splurging I also think about the things that needs to be done around the house. And it works! I don't know but for me blogging can be a little pressuring. You read all your fellow bloggers blogs and all the fashionistas talking about how they got this deal and that deal. And just picked this up and that up. And you fall in love with some of the items you come across web surfing. Geesh! It can be so tempting. BUT I have stuck to my non-existent budget...LOL.
Yesterday I wore my skirt as a shirt. Now I am not the first to have done this and I certainly won't be the last.
My look for the day
This garment is suppose to be wore this way....
but fashionistas always see far and beyond
This is my fave way to wear this skirt...as a dress
FYI...I wore the shoes seen here with this outfit, however once I got home and kicked off my shoes it was a wrap. I was not putting them back on. <----I never did a outfit post with those shoes...however, they are just some Matisse faux snake skin T-strap flats in a natural color.
What I Am Wearing...
~ Cotton Wrap Skirt
~ True Religion Ripped Denims
~ Express Faux Ostrich Belt
~ Matisse Faux Snake Skin Sandals
~ I wore about 12 bangles that day that is not photographed here. A mixture between chunky and super thin and I also threw in a beaded bracelet. I must admit they are pretty noisy and I am the only gal in my building at work that wears bangles like that so I can't even be sneaky when I am doing bangles.
~ Leaf earrings that you really can't view here
Geesh....I took off half of the things that was apart of my outfit post before pictures. LOL

Army Green
First off, shout out to the folks that are serving this country!
And special thanks to my Big Brother Vince....that retired as a Sergeant Major a few years ago...my Big Brother LaMond that served this country as well...and my niece LaNail that is also in the military and to my daddy Donaciano (don't talk about my daddy name) that came from Puerto Rico and went straight to New York with this bold street attitude that resulted in many brawls in which he used his belt as a weapon...lol...(story to follow some other time) but that was in his young YOUNG days and he wasn't fighting for his country but I guess he was fighting for something.
You guys Rock!!!
The reason for that steams from my shirt. My outfit is not snazzy or anything and is probably not worth posting. But it's actually my favorite kind of attire. Jeans and a shirt/tank. However, I really wanted to share my army green shirt/jacket.
It actually belonged to one of my brothers. And that thang is as old as they are, haha! I don't know the details of where it came from but my mom mentioned that she may have gotten it from a surplus store centuries ago. LOL. She gave it to my son to wear one day last year because it was cold when I was leaving her house and he didn't have a coat with him. I threw that what I thought was a ugly-ole-shirt-that-would-be-great-for-a-rag-to-clean-my-house in the corner of the closet. And one day finally hung it up because ironically I didn't want to look messy. And I say ironically because i can get quite messy when it comes to my clothes and shoe closets. I am sure my friends and fam will vouch for that....but right now my closets are clean! SO THERE! Anyway, this week I just happened to be drawn into this shirt. It has really cool buttons that has clusters of stars on them. ~And right now I am kicking myself for not taking any pics of the buttons. ~ It also has this old faded rugged look to it. So I like it. Thank you bro!
Once again I used the iphone to take pics so the quality is awful....I keep forgetting to charge my camera...Note to self....CHARGE YOUR DARN CAMERA!
What I Am Wearing...
~ Vintage Army Green Shirt
~ "Wife Beater" or "Sling Shot" haha! what! that's what everybody calls them :-/
~ Dark Denim H & M Skinny Jeans
~ Lucky Brand Embroidery Belt
~ Michael Kors Patent Leather Sandals
Also, I am sans-jewelry today....I did not do that on purpose.
I am pondering what else I can wear that shirt with that will make it stand out and bring out a more military inspired look. Any suggestions????? hmm?

My DIY bleached skinnys
Hi Gals,
It's been awhile since I have done a post. Actually, a little over a week. I guess I took a blog vacation. LOL. Honestly, I haven't been overly busy or anything just getting my house together. And enjoying a little R&R! I have been in my house for 6 months now and still have boxes in the garage that needs unpacking....SMH. That just means that either I had to buy all over again what is packed or I need to get rid of some things. And its probably the latter.
Here's my ensemble from Monday...I bleached the jeans to get that dyed effect. I am not sure but I believe it was almost a year ago when I did this lil quick DIY. However, when I bleached the jeans I really wasn't digging them to much because it was too orange-y for me. But, I am usually a dare-to-be-different kind of gal....and I am loving them right now. I am thinking of shredding the front thigh section. These jeans makes me feel younger too. Hehe! Such a good thang.
The necklace above was handmade by none other than my son Kam'ren. It was a Mother's Day gift and it is absolutely my fave pic of jewelry. For obvious reasons. It has a matching bracelet 2.
Sorry for the fussiness of the photos....I took these photos with my iphone and when I enlarged them this is what happened.
The process of how I bleached my skinnys....
* Saturate a towel with bleach
* Rub the front of the jeans vertically with the bleached towel
* Blot the back of the jeans with the bleached towel (However, depending on the look you want you can do it how you like. i.e. blot the front thigh area only, exclude the back from the bleaching process, dip the bottom of the legs in bleach (I think I am really digging that last 1)
* Let them air dry
* Wash them as you normally would
* And flaunt!
There you go...if you happen to do this DIY please send me pics!!! I would love to see.
What I Am Wearing...
~ "She Fancy" H and M Tank
~ Black Skinny Jeans
~ Naughty Monkey Heels
~ Big Fat Orange Gem Ring
~ Handmade Beaded Necklace....thanks Kam for the gifts & being the best camera boy ever!
If you haven't noticed I ditched my ponytail for my fave hairstyle...THE CURLY WEAVE....I really don't like wearing ponytails bcz when I was younger my aunt would always make her lil comments about me never wearing my hair down. However, for the past few months ponytails were what my budget allowed! LOL. But I am fortunate that over a year ago I invested good hard earned money into some Indian hair that will last me for a very long time. So TAH-DAH! I'm Baccckkkkk!

EffortLESS Wednesday!!!!
Uh...yea...a little known fact about me is that I love to mix-match...not sure if I mentioned this before. But I am a mix-match-on-purpose-kind-of-girl. I really don't know the reason why...BUT I think it may have something to do with my will to do what everyone else isn't, my rebel-ness, my "OH you think I wouldn't" kind of attitude. I want to be different. I AM different. I subscribe to tons of magazines purely for entertainment (to be honest most of the time I don't have the time to read the mags and some of them end up going in the holders for my guest and end up never being read by me). However, my fave mag that I always make time for is .:drum roll pls:. People Style Watch.....Oh, I so love this mag....there are such cute clothes with REAL prices...seriously! Some things I take in but I am usually not big on trend following. I wear what I want when I want. See for yourself. Today's outfit was a mixture of patterns, textures, and colors. I liked it. It was me.
It's extremely funny when I go out shopping with the gals and I may put some outfit together and ask whomever their opinion on it. I usually get a "Yea, that's something you would wear." HA! That's exactly what I wanted to hear. "You know my style, aye?" LOL. I love it!

My daughter...she's wearing...
Hello Kitty Cropped Jacket
Button-down in back shirt
H&M denim legging
Chuck Taylor's in Leopard print (Nordstrom)
I actually have these boyfriend jeans in 2 sizes...I am wearing the smaller pair.
I was so sloppy with the look....i left one corner of the shirt hanging out to achieve this effect.... lol
What I am Wearing...
Tropical Print Sheer Button-Down set in Black
(I love the drawstring detail under the bust area)
Patchwork Boyfriend Denims
Double Breasted Blazer with the cutest detailed button
(sorry no pic posted)
Cheap shoes purchased downtown....
(I must admit I rarely wear cheap shoes...not that I think I am too good for them or anything...but they just feel.....uh...CHEAP. I prefer to shop at discounted stores i.e. Ross, DSW, Marshalls; over buying cheap synthetic man made material shoes....sorry hard working men) LOL
Gold Crown Belt
(seen here on Adam Lambert during his American Idol days)
Some Red Earrings
Beaded Necklace

Accessory-LESS
I just noticed as I were editing my photos that I had on not 1 single accessory. Not even my anklets that I have been faithfully wearing for the past few weeks. I woke up super late this morning and I guess I was in such a rush i didn't even think of going over to my jewelry armoire (that doubles as my tv stand temporarily...hahaha...therefore there are rings and earrings and all my charms at the top that I cannot get to...but when I do get to them I will feel like I have new jewels...ohh la la).
The armoire is a bit of a mess...Pls excuse me for that...LOL
Back to the real reason I am doing this post....AS I WERE SAYING...
So no accessories today...and I threw this outfit on and didn't even think twice about it. Nothing special. However, I love the colors in the shirt. And the green reminded me of my fave green shoes. So I went into my shoe closet and quickly came to a halt. I told myself..."self, you just worked all weekend standing and sitting and breaking down stuff, and your feet will be so upset at you for even stepping into a 4" platform" so I grabbed my patent leather Target ballet flats. By the way...these were shoes purchased for Halloween (I rarely wear them).
Looking at the photos, I don't think the outfit is that plain....but I would whether prefer to wear them with the green platforms. So I took my photos wearings the platforms. And you know what...my feet aren't that mad at me!
What do you guys (I mean gals) ;-) think..green platforms or black flats?
What I am Wearing...
~Butterfly Tunic
~Black Jegging
~Report Signature Strappy Platforms
~Xhilaration Patent Leather Flats
